Is it true that no one broils food anymore?

I'm a broiling fool. i rarely if ever fry anything let alone a good steak. However, if the stove has burners at the top of the oven, you may be able to turn the heat up and use it as a broiler. Other wise, I would look for a different stove. Mine is new, just barely a year old, and I have a broiler.
