How would you cook 1" prime rib steaks?

Received a frozen prime rib that was cut into 8 1" steaks. Certainly not my preferred way of getting this type of quality meat but it was free! I'm going to use an olive oil coating along with a nice steak rub after I've brought the meat to room temperature. How would you cook it from here? Roast, pan sear, broil? What temperature and how long? So many options.
