Why are the ASYM Skullcandy earbuds discontinued?

I got a pair of these, rasta colored, and they kinda just broke on me. The one part inside the earbud(the silver filter looking thing that the rubber part covers) came out when i was switching the rubber piece and i can't find it. I want more so I can ride bmx and listen to music. So why did they stop making these? Is there a way to fix this? Is there any better earbuds for riding bmx with?
